Tuesday Tunes: Long Road

As my first EVER trip alone with my hubby is coming up - The PJ20 concert at Alpine Valley, I have been continuing to build my knowledge of the Pearl Jam catalogue...I'm doing very well..and have favorite bootlegs, preferring them to some of the studio versions.

While I know Pearl Jam is not everyone's 'cup-of-tea'...they were not mine either until about a year ago...I have to post my favorite songs somewhere.  So I hope you all enjoy this beautiful song, very simple and moving, about sending soldiers off to war...rather apt!

The great Neil Young accompanies Mike and Eddie in this version that was played for America: A Tribute to Heroes Benefit.
Enjoy!

  1. This is now one of my very favorites, and very fitting if they open PJ20 with it. It most certainly has been a LONG ROAD for not only the band, but us fans (and not just as fans, but as people).

Tonight this song makes me cry - I can hear the opening chords in my head and recite it word for word without even playing the video. Such a long road, this life. Ever single day. So long, and so trying.

WE ALL WALK THE LONG ROAD

Enough said. Hope you are having a better night than I am, my friend.

    Lots of love,
    Shan
